CITAZIONE (_Buddy Coke_ @ 24/6/2013, 23:53)
Scusate, forse è solo una mia impressione... però è possibile che al posto di "Fuck, give it all away" dica "If I could give it all away", o devo prenotare una visita dall'otorino? xD

Io sento "Fuck, give it all away" :D

Bosco

I love you more than any man
But something's getting in the way
I do you harm because I can
For the second time today

Victims we are not of happenstance
But you're a victim all the same
Stuck inside a circumstance
With your confusion and your blame

And when I get drunk
You take me home
And keep me safe
From harm

When I get drunk
You take me home

I ask you for another second chance
But then I drink it all away
And I get bellicose when you react
Full of frustration and dismay

I was so delicate when we began
So tender when I spoke your name
But now I'm nothing but a partisan
To my compulsion and my shame

And when I get drunk
You take me home
And keep me safe
From harm

When I get drunk
You take me home

You know I'm grateful
I appreciate
But in fact its baleful
How I suck you dry (x7)

I love you more than any man
But I seem to lay it all to waste
I do you harm because I can
With a joke in questionable taste

I've such duplicity at my command
So I keep on lying to your face
Then I run away to wonderland
And disappear without a trace

When I get drunk
You take me home
And keep me safe
From harm

When I get drunk
You take me home

You know I'm grateful
I appreciate
But in fact is baleful
How I suck you dry (x7)

Bosco

Tu mi porti a casa
E mi proteggi dal dolore

Quando mi ubriaco
Tu mi porti a casa

Tu mi porti a casa
E mi proteggi dal dolore

Quando mi ubriaco
Tu mi porti a casa

Ti faccio soffrire
Con scherzi di cattivo gusto

E con la duplicità del mio agire
Così ti mento sfacciatamente
E dopo scappo in un mondo inventato
Sparisco senza lasciare traccia

E quando mi ubriaco,
Tu mi porti a casa
E mi proteggi dal dolore

Quando mi ubriaco
Tu mi porti a casa

Placebo Quotes about BOSCO

" Bosco " already means more to me than any other songs . It is a piano - dominated song and completely uncharacteristic of us . When we wrote the play, we thought no intention of doing another album. This gives the number a very special touch , a special note. The song was such a peaceful place once on a placebo album place, I never would have thought a few years ago.

Stefan Olsdal, Nachrichten

" Bosco " is about alcoholism ...

This is a very sad song , tragic, the devastating effect of addiction on a relationship. This song makes me cry. This is one of the most honest and vulnerable song in our career. We managed to create a song that can exist outside the context of Placebo.

Brian Molko, Le Soir

"It is probably the most honest I have ever been in a song. It's a process of catharsis and absolutely and very much directed at one person in particular.

"You can write as many songs as you want to make amends to people you have hurt in your life but truthfully, the only amends that count is the living amend. It's how you behave in the future."

Brian Molko, News.com.au

The most touching song is " Bosco " . Who is the dedicated ?
This is my apology to an entire special person who shall remain nameless but . I'm in all honesty, there's no story and no narrator . Therefore, it is still very difficult for me to hear " Bosco " without tears get me in the eye.

Brian Molko, Kurier

would last me the background of the ballad " Bosco " , probably most interested in the song on the album .
Molko : Another song that revolves around dependencies and their destructive capabilities. It's about two people who love to deal drugs , and are then trapped inside . The biggest problems I had when lyricist personally because I've never really rangegangen so honest and vulnerable to the cause . I think every band tries to replicate their own identity in their songs . I would say that " Bosco " is definitely one of those songs .

Brian Molko, Krone.at

For me, the song that has a special place in my heart is ‘Bosco’.
I remember the time that we wrote that song and it was in a very early stages of the album. I wrote the music and Brian was “that is very beautiful. I have to write something that matches that.” So when he came in that day he said “Stef, I written the lyrics and let me know what you think?” And he sang that song and I felt like my heart has been crushed, In a good way. Bosco is melancholic and beautiful at the same time. I think it’s that fine line about being in a dark place or sort of tackling that dark side of our emotions but doing it in a poetic way. And it’s about accepting those are the kind of feelings we all experience and rather than trying to shut them out by some form of substance or blocking them out with denial, it just tells you to let yourself to live through the process and moment. I think lyrics do that for him (Brian) as well. It’s a way for him to open up.

Stefan Olsdal, Hanger

‘Bosco’ is not about mosquitoes

The album’s closing track ‘Bosco’ has the repeated line “how I suck you dry”. Laughing off our attempt to draw references to mosquitoes and vampires, Steve assured us that there is a deeper meaning to the lyrics. “It’s more or less about a failed relationship, maybe. Brian writes the lyrics so he can tell you more in depth but I don’t think it’s about a mosquito.”

What does the word “Bosco” mean anyway? Forrest revealed that “Bosco” was actually a working title that came from a plugin, like a pedal, which touring member Bill Lloyd had brought. “The song has got much more depth; so it’s kind of fun because the song gave the word a meaning.”

Steve Forrest, Me Radio

Who's Bosco you mentioned in your song and who took care of you when you were drunk... ?
B.M : (long awkward silence) It's hard, very hard to answer this question. It's such a personal text ... It's full of regrets ... I think it's the most intimate and honest song I have ever written. The song is a way to offer my sincere apologies to someone ... It would be too difficult for me to tell more about it, I'm unable to give more details. I've never been this vulnerable in a song. With hindsight, I believe in the "Nancy Boy" era, in the 90's, I never thought our band would be able to do a song like "Bosco". It's so far from where we started ...

RockMag July 2013

J: there are lots of references in this album. For example, Bosco reminds me of the Flemish painter, Jerome Bosch which is how he’s nicknamed in Spain……
Brian: ….I didn’t know that…
J: Where does that name ‘Bosco’ come from? There hundreds of possibilities, such as Don Bosco, a worker priest, who is famous in France and Belgium…

Brian: yeah, in Spain too. I think it’s also an Italian wine; it means ‘forest’ in Italy.
In fact since Stefan started playing the piano on this song, he chose to give this name to the melody; then I wrote the lyrics. We couldn’t find a better title so we thought we should keep it; it’s quite abstract…there’s some sort of mystery in it. It can be interpreted in hundred ways and we love that ambiguity, the mystery that surrounds it. So we kept it.

Brian Molko, Pure FM

It's about a tragic relationship , torn by addiction . It also speaks of the search for redemption , and asking for forgiveness .

Begin The End

Look me in the eye, say that again
Take me to your chest and let me in
Give me mouth to mouth and make amends
Knock me off my feet like heroin
No need to disguise or to pretend
Don't misconstrue and don't misapprehend
There's nothing left, no fortress to defend
Tonight's the night that we begin the end, oh

You and I kept looking to transcend
The fact that I was breaking to your bend
But this is now and sadly that was then
Tonight's the night that we begind the end, oh

I tried, God knows I try
But there's nothing you can do to change my mind
I tried, God knows I tried
But there's nothing you can do to change my mind
And I don't enjoy to watch you crumble
I don't enjoy to watch you cry
But make no mistake
Make no mistake

Look me in the eye, say that again
Blame me for the sorry state you're in
It's not my fault if you can't comprehend
That tonight's the night that we begin the end, oh

I tried, God knows I try
But there's nothing you can do to change my mind
I tried, God knows I tried
But there's nothing you can do to change my mind
And I don't enjoy to watch you crumble
I don't enjoy to watch you cry
I don't enjoy to watch you crumble
I don't enjoy to watch you cry

But make no mistake
Make no mistake

Look me in the eye, say that again

Inizia la fine

Guardami negli occhi, dillo ancora

Odio vederti cadere a pezzi
odio vederti piangere
Non fa una piega

Guardami negli occhi, dillo ancora

Odio vederti cadere a pezzi
odio vederti piangere
Non fa una piega

Guardami negli occhi, dillo ancora...

Placebo Quotes about BEGIN THE END

One of the best songs "Begin The End" is very progressive. It starts with a certain fragility and ends in a psychedelic chaos, as if was turning in a bad trip.
B.M : The link with psychedelia is interesting, because the first version was very long, around 25 minutes. It was hypnotic. Stefan said at that time he had a transcendental experience. It was a sort of weird jam between Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead (laughs). What do you want, my first musical love was psychedelic rock. When was a teenager, I listened to the Grateful Dead while smoking (laughs). This song is about the pain when you realize your relationship is ruined. You can no longer hide the fact this union is doomed to an end and then starts the beginning of the end ... Literally, we can say the theme of that song is acceptance.
